You can actually get now Office 2016. However, for now I'd seriously recommend that you stay with 2011 at least for one more year. Because 2016 was rewritten in Apple Code, rather than the 20+ year old Binary code of 2011. Because they had to strip away tons of features and, then add back what they plan to on a monthly basis.
